Every Turn is a three-part series of works on textured paper that recall the early 20th century compositions of Giorgio de Chirico, a prominent Italian artist and founder of the scuola metafisica art movement. In Every Turn 3, a windowed corridor becomes a distorted perspective of tilted walls and off-balance lines. Heightening this effect, a source of light near the top of the structure adds illumination and shadow for a subtle movement that feels three-dimensional. Exquisitely composed from an earth-toned palette of dark sienna, maize, salmon, and brown, Every Turn 3 invites the viewer into a dreamlike space in this original addition to ART by TA.
