Hidden Truth I is an exquisite piece reminiscent of Robert Rauschenberg’s early work of the 1950s. Rauschenberg’s work is marked by a departure from traditional artistic conventions that include collage.
This minimalist work on canvas features both paint strokes and drawn marks. In a nod to Rauschenberg, bits of newsprint have been collaged onto the canvas. That, along with dabs of paint, gives the work a textural feel.
