Inspired by a 19th-century French bibliotheque with neoclassical dental molding cornice and raised panel doors exemplifies the neoclassical revival that occurred in European furniture design, particularly in France, during this period. This styleembraced elements from classical antiquity, such as the dental molding cornice, which added a sense of grandeur and historical continuity to the piece. The biblioteque not only served as a practical storage solution but also as a decorative element in interiors, reflecting the era's values of knowledge, culture, and refined taste, underscoring the importance of integrating classical aesthetics into everyday living spaces. Finished in a Swedish Aged Slate with Antique Brass faux key escutcheons, the insides of the left and right cabinet is finished in a natural wood stain with one fixed shelf at top, a hanging rod underneath and two adjustable shelves below. The center bookcase has one fixed shelf at center and two adjustable shelves above and below.
